Eilat Desert Marathon: Heats


The International Desert Marathon
The marathon complex will be located on the Herods Hotel Promenade, on the northern shore of Eilat. This is where the start and finish gates will be set up, where the podium will be located, and where marathoners will be able to enjoy special pampering benefits before and after the race. There will also be an open-air expo of brands for everyone.
The Leonardo Club Hotel will be the official hotel of the event.
Full marathon 42.2km
Full marathon 42.2km - Course description
609 meters of cumulative ascent; the highest point is 300 meters above sea level.
16 refreshment stations, at approximately every 3k;
Of them:
- 6 with energy refreshment (dates, bananas, halva and pretzels)
- 4 with gels (High5 and 32GI)
- 6 with isotonic drink
Terrain constantly changes, from wide paths, to gravel, sand-gravel, technical parts, and rolling hills.

The 10k course is named after Ilan Levi and Yehonatan Azoulai, born in Eilat and killed in a car accident.
